World Precision Flying Championships 2009 Concluded

The New Zealand team achieved commendable results at the World Championships in Torun Poland. Full Results may be found at the 2009 WPFC, Torun - Poland website.

NZPFRA to send a team to the World Precision Flying Championships in Poland

The New Zealand Precision and Rally Flying Association is sending a team to the 19th Word Precision Flying Championships (WPFC) in Torun, Poland. The team consists of Gordon Hughes, Daroish Kraidy and John Brunskill. The 2009 WPFC will take place from the 19th to the 26th July, 2009.

Precision Flying Team Leaves for World Championships

The NZPFRA team has left on the long journey to the World Precision and Rally Flying Championships being held in Ried, Austria (links to Google Maps).

Rally Event postponed

The Rally Event planned for 16th Feb has been postponed. We will be re-scheduling the event for a less busy weekend in the not too distant future. Keep checking back for futher details. Thanks for showing an interest in Precision and Rally Flying.

Rally Event - 16th February 2008 @ Tauranga

On the Saturday morning of the SportAvex fly-in weekend. The NZPFRA will be holding a Rally Event.

This will involve flying a course around the scenic Bay of Plenty taking about an hour to complete and finshing up with a judged landing on a runway grid.

This event is open to all classes of aircraft and pilot (but the field will be limited in numbers to make sure we don't clog up the airport for too long)

First prize will be $1500, second $1000 and third $500

There will be additional prizes for various categories of aircraft and pilot of up to $500. For example, "Best performing microlight team" or "Best performing team in a homebuilt"
